Year 9: the power of networking Dorota and Mark never liked networking. As simple as that. Despite knowing the old business truth that networking is power, we simply did not enjoy it and felt very proud that we managed to build a well-working company without any artificial networking strategies. Mark never had any social media profiles apart from basic on ResearchGate, Dorota had her FB account but only for close friends. Read more →Year 8: ONLINE goes even more online! COVID-19, lockdown! Everybody remembers the time that the world stood still. For a while it definitely did. We got covered in masks, stopped talking, touching, going out. We all got imprisoned at homes – which meant offices, schools, all life was moved ONLINE. For many it was a real scare- what will happen now? How to work, how to live? For us…when it comes to MD Online, we did not notice such a big impact. We had developed as a truly online company, we had all systems in place. The only difference was dealing with children staying home due to online school, the same for many of our employees. Some say that cutting off your first business partners is the natural way to grow a business. Why? Because when you start you are still at the development phase. You take what you can and, at the same time, give away much more than you are ready to give at later stages of company development. So e.g., at the beginning of the business you are prepared, willing, even desperate to take any job, the smallest even any time of day or night. Once your company has developed, this initial eagerness not only disappears but even could harm your business!
