We witnessed considerable progress, many changes and upgrades, but also new project types and business ideas. We have gathered them all in this short summary of the passing year.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Separation of MD Online and eCORRECTOR<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The dynamics of our growth forced us to rebrand our activity throughout the year. We separated <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecorrector.com\">eCORRECTOR<\/a> as a distinct brand which specialises in scientific proofreading. MD Online continues to provide LSP and business support. MD Online is also expanding into AVT and media support by providing subtitles and audio recordings by native speakers. You can sneak a peak at <a href=\"http:\/\/mediaonlinesupport.com\/\">www.mediaonlinesupport.com<\/a>!<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Volume of services<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Last year we completed around 5 000 translation and proofreading projects, which was twice as many as in 2017. This year, we completed 9 000 translation projects! We translated literally millions of words into all European and many major non-European languages. We are pleased to have grown our base of LSP partners and clients across Europe, which currently includes Poland, United Kingdom, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Belgium, the United States and many more.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>New ideas and projects<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The MD Online successfully completed new and more challenging projects this year, e.g. recording audio for psychological tests, helping in building translation memory for customers, evaluating potential language partners, subtitling a video on medical procedures, and many more. We are also pushing more and more into CAT translations and training, since we want to ensure the quality and uniformity of our translations. We are constantly improving our QA procedures by adding new processes and one of our latest team members is dedicated to QA.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Growth of our team<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It is great to see the growth of the team, both personal and professional. Last year, one of our team got married and welcomed a new child to this world. A team member submitted their PhD on translation, and other team members started new studies and language courses. It has surely been a challenging time, but we believe we are growing stronger and more efficient by the day!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It was also a time of good-byes and hellos. Our front office colleague, Iga Jankowska, decided to pursue a career in IT. She started BA studies in IT. We wish Iga great success! We also welcomed a new member of the MD Online family, Magdalena H\u0105dzlik-Bia\u0142ek. As a translator, she specialises in medical, legal and film translations. Her great interests are sociolinguistics and translation studies, which is reflected in her PhD thesis about translating swearwords in films (in progress). Magdalena will be dealing with back-office quality control as well as engaging in our upcoming special projects. We hope she will grow with us and together we may reach for more.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\">We expect that 2020 will bring even more new customers with fascinating projects and opportunities.
